new record releases and a b-side music history lesson

A B-Side Track can make the cut. Bon Jovi's mega-hit "Living on a Prayer" was one of those b-side album tracks that did. We remember beating fake drums with coat hangers on wooden kitchen chairs to sync with tunes by Kool and the Gang, The Supremes and other faves when we were young.

about B-SIDE TRACKS:

There are no B-side music industry marketing plans anymore, instead we think of music these days as a "single" or an "album" don't we? When the 8 track tape was in vogue, B-side tracks were on vinyl records as 45 singles and 12 inch 33 LPs with very cool covers. Later, the cassette tape hit and it had a b-side of music.

As CD-ROM media became more popular it demised the importance of B-side record album tracks. Apple gave the world its ITunes digital music store and software a few years ago. This internet driven event doomed reasons to produce a B-side track for the markets.

Today, digital music sales are growing and music lovers buy digital singles to get just what they want at a cheaper price than a whole album cost. The B-side Track became popular in the 1950s when A-side music was pumped by record producers who hoped music on the A-side would receive radio airplay and become a hit record.
